How to swap a topper
Your reel arrives with a topper already attached. To change it, lift the old topper off and press the new one straight down onto the base until it seats past the silicone ring inside. That ring is what grips the topper and holds it flat.
The magnet is extra security to keep a seated topper from rotating — it is not what holds the topper on. If a topper ever feels loose or turns sideways, it has not gone past the ring yet. Press a little firmer and it will grab.
